Computer chips can get smaller, cheaper than first thought (AFP)


In a 2005 handout from US technology firm IBM, analysis engineer Tami Vogel holds a prototype of the new Cell microprocessor, a collaboration between engineering teams from IBM, Sony and Toshiba.
