NextBase DVM-235 portable DVD player
[via Engadget]
Somewhere out there, there’s someone who wants a thick, heavy portable DVD player with a relatively small LCD display and anemic battery life. And if that someone is in Korea, he can always pick up the NextBase DVM-235, which weighs almost a pound, sports a popup 3.5-inch display, can run for about two hours per charge, and can handle most disc formats, including VCDs and home-burned DVDs (though not, apparently, DivX or XviD files). The rest of us can probably do better with a PMP or — if DVDs are absolutely necessary — a portable DVD player that has a bigger screen and a little less heft.
